MYTHICAL FORM

Named for the Titan doomed to shoulder the world, Atlas combines an illuminated glass globe with an intersecting metal armature, drawing on Karl Zahn’s elegant use of geometry and metaphor in design. Available in blackened or polished brass, this striking luminaire asserts its refined simplicity with a richness of materials.

STORY

Atlas Table Lamp 01

Atlas explores the myth of a titan through the use of visual metaphors, realised in brass metalwork and considered use of intersecting geometry. Available in two sizes and metal finishes.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Roll & Hill

Roll & Hill is a design-minded American furniture and lighting company based in New York. Collaborating with some of the most exciting independent designers working today to create our exceptional collection. Jason Miller founded Roll & Hill in 2010 with a primary mission to establish a homegrown, American design aesthetic and offer independent designers the state-of-the-art manufacturing services typically associated with larger makers.

Committed to on-demand production, Roll & Hill offers customisation of all pieces to clients’ needs. At their Manufactured in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Roll & Hill craft lighting by hand, one piece at a time. Their designs draw from a rich material palette, including brass, bronze, leather, wood, hand-knotted rope, and mouth-blown glass. Their host of celebrated designers often pair historical elements with contemporary forms to create objects that feel familiar, yet entirely new.
