The Alwa Three Side Table by Sebastian Herkner is a sculptural glass piece defined by its dense, cast and hand-blown construction, where naturally occurring bubbles and subtle surface variations capture the movement and tactility of molten glass. Each table balances substantial material presence with soft, organic contours, foregrounding Herkner’s material sensibility and architectural approach to form and everyday function.

STORY

Alwa Three Side Table

Normally, glass is regarded as being lightweight with sharp edges. In contrast, Sebastian Herkner’s Alwa possesses gentle contours as a result of its exquisite handmade process. The raw, hot, glass mass with its natural bubbles is an imprint of the structure, including an uneven, tactile surface.
