ARCHITECTURALLY INSPIRED

The Weaving Nassi Floor Lamp is a distillation of form, dimension and exquisite craftsmanship. A Drum lamp shade in Handwoven paper yarn is built upon an oversized cylindrical base of wood-fired clay with a beeswax finish. An iconic luminaire that brings timeless & simplified charm and to any setting, the Weaving Nassi is an exclusive collaboration with innovative Milan textile designer Elena Meneghini.

STORY

Weaving Nassi Floor Lamp

Part of an exclusive collaboration with innovative textile designer Elena Meneghini, Weaving Nassi brings handwoven paper yarn to the essential silhouette of this piece. Her research on paper yarn is particularly fascinated by the rhythm and textile structure that this humble material brings. A material usually associated with the concept of two-dimensionality, once filtered through the loom, comes to life, acquiring new volumes and meanings.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Nassi Lighting

An established part of the handmade lampshade world since 1960, Nassi tells the story of 3 generations of women. It weaves together the skills of artisan workmanship with the exploration of design vs. everyday objects.
These lamps are made in Puglia, in southern Italy, and have a connection to a land that is dry and brimming with symbols, a land that is poor and warm, hard and poetic. Nassi connects the traditional classic lampshade with pure shapes, the pleasure of filtered light with the quality of particular materials, reducing and refining to arrive at a new romantic rationalism.
